Slow Rot

Hunter S Thompson predicted he would kill himself 13 years after writing the great
shark hunt.
It actually took 25 years for him to do it.
I understand.
Sometimes those feelings of boredom and nothingness set it and I wonder
would I last that long?
When you reach your peak the long slow drift downwards holds no attraction.
The endless wait and the inevitable degeneration....
